Park Place Health and Dental Clinic
The Park Place Health and Dental Clinic (PPH&DC) provides dental services to residents of Norfolk who have no other means of receiving care. Individuals seen in the PPH&DC have a low income and are mostly uninsured. Eligibility is determined by income and residency. The clinic requires that all persons requesting services be at or below 200% of the poverty level. In addition, patients must be residents of Norfolk, 18 years or older, without a dentist or dental insurance. People from all ethnic backgrounds are seen; of those reporting demographic information, 82% are African American, over 66% are female, single head of household, and most are 36 to 65 years old.
